Local musicians enjoy the Culinary Secrets at Hadicurari Restaurant
Of course you all know Amy Sorinyo and her husband Wouter: they perform live at Hadicurari Restaurant every Thursday and Saturday. This past Friday, however, they decided to come to Hadicurari on their night off to enjoy the restaurant's Culinary Secrets special. This month the theme was Italian delights. Amy and Wouter greatly enjoyed the four-course dinner and added the wine pairing as an extra treat. The first course consisted of home-made ravioli with chicken, eggplant, Parmesan cheese and gremolata. The second course was a porcini mushroom soup with grilled scallops and green asparagus, followed by veal cheeks in their own gravy with spinach, mushrooms and truffles. For dessert the chef had made his own version of a deconstructed tiramisu.
Of course all the wines accompanying the food were also Italian: a cliffhanger Pinot Grigio from Trentino for the first two courses, for the main course a Sicilian wine: Cantodoro, a blend made from Nero D’avola and Cabernet Sauvignon. Desert was treated to a Maraschino made by the Luxardo family.
Next month Hadicurari Restaurant's Culinary Secret will be all about asparagus - something to look forward to!
